I don’t think I’ve been hiding under a rock. I mean, I’m fully aware of who Max Lucado is and all of the books he’s written over the past gazillion years. What I somehow missed was that one of his daughters, Jenna, is also writing books now. Makes complete sense, I just didn’t realize it was happening!
From Blah to Awe: Shaking Up a Boring Faith by Jenna Lucado Bishop is designed to “shake you up a little,” according to Jenna herself. She goes on to say, “No matter where you are in your faith journey—whether you are new to this God thing or you have known what a relationship with Jesus is like your entire life—when you finish this book, I want you to stop settling. Stop settling for a faith that is dull, boring, blah. So many of us get stuck in a lifeless faith and just stay there, thinking that this is what life with God is about. No! God wants more for us!”
Geared primarily toward the teen girl, Jenna wants to show girls how to walk daily with God in a passionate way.
I can get pretty excited about this.
I gave the book to my 13-year-old and am hoping she pulls it out over Spring Break. Honestly, her course work is so intense there’s little time for any reading apart from what is assigned, but for the next week, no assignments! Maybe we should read through this together. I’m looking forward to it.
Would you like to win a copy for a teen girl in your life? Entry is through the Rafflecopter form below.

I received the book above for the purpose of review. No other compensation was received. We haven’t actually read it yet, but I think we will soon. We’ve been too crazy busy around here for almost everything else! I keep a proper disclosure statement available right here.
