A few weeks ago I confessed to my need to get some cleaning help around here. I've had help since that time and will get help again tomorrow. I'm super thankful for this arrangement and will be for as long as we can keep it up.
I know how helpful this has been for me and for my family and that's one of the main reasons why I thought the other day that I'd love to be able to bless my own mom by providing a cleaning service for her. Granted, I can't do it consistently, but to be able to have someone come over once and do a good thorough cleaning would be pretty amazing. You know why? My mom hasn't been feeling well for a very long time. The doctors can't figure out what's wrong, but something is and it makes me very sad for her. My dad is doing a great job caring for her and, yep, cleaning up too. I'd love to give him a house cleaning break as well.
That's my mom and dad on the left along with my graduating from high school nephew, sister, and brother-in-law there on the right. My parents and I just road-tripped together along with my two oldest daughters to celebrate this big event.
Now that we live closer to my parents (we're just two hours away) I decided that for Mother's Day this year the girls and I would drive over there and take her out for lunch. I'm excited that this time I'm also going to be able to give her a gift certificate for Molly Maid.

There is something just so…comforting and right about coming home to a clean house. It seems to remove tension and make everyone relax. I know because we experience is two times each month now. Granted, our house falls apart again pretty quickly, but I'm resting right now in knowing that at least two times a month we're getting our act together for the whole house tidy so that someone can come over and do the whole house cleaning.
