I forgot to let you know that I recently posted a piece on the Build-A-Bear Workshop blog on summer camp and homesick campers. I was pretty excited when I wrote that post, not about the homesick campers, but because we’re headed to Colorado soon and our four girls were going to attend Eagle Lake Camp, the picture featured in that post.
Sadly, Eagle Lake Camp is smack dab in the middle of the #WaldoCanyonFire in the mountains above Colorado Springs. Not so sadly, MOST of the main camp property was salvaged by both amazing firefighting skills and the mighty hand of God. I really do believe that. But as such, and since the fire continues to burn there (50% containment as of this posting), summer camp at Eagle Lake has been canceled for the rest of the summer.
We’re still going to Colorado Springs in a couple of weeks; we have a strong lifelong bond with our friends who still run the camp. There just won’t be any summer camp happening for our kids this year.
All that to say this: I was going to showcase some cute critters from Build-A-Bear Workshop as a fun friend to send to camp with your little camper. And it could still very well hold true for YOU, so I’ll still show you some of the new furry friends. Check these guys out:
Super cute, huh? We’ve given a handful of Build-A-Bear friends out as birthday gifts this year and they are ALWAYS well received. I’m super excited that we’ll get to host a Build-A-Bear Workshop birthday party for my soon-to-be 9-year-old this October. That’s going to be a hoot and a half!
So whether you want to build your own classic teddy bear, or one of these fun buddies in the photo above, one of you will get to do it with a $20 gift card to Build-A-Bear!
Entry is through the Rafflecopter form below.
Be sure to check out my other current giveaways right here!
I am one of the Build-A-Bear Workshop’s 15 friends and receive products and gift cards for the purpose of review. All thoughts are my own. I keep a proper disclosure statement available here.
