My Sears Outdoor Living Dream Backyard #CBias #SummerWithSears

My husband is embarrassed that I’m putting this picture here on the blog, but here it is – our backyard as we currently know it. Don’t get me wrong – we love the size and we love the pool! It really does need some serious TLC, though. And some patio furniture, for sure! I recently browsed through the Simply Outdoor Sears catalog (see the catalog link here) and found some fantastic outdoor decor. If money were no option, I would love to get something like this:

We’re not really in a position to outfit our backyard in the real, true sense, but that doesn’t mean I can’t dream a little, right? I recently discovered Polyvore and pulled together a collection of things from the Sears Style Hub that I just REALLY love! Check it out here:

While surfing my Sears Local Ad and the other Sears sites, I realized we really have two distinct areas in our backyard – one that is covered and on the far end of the house, and one that is uncovered, but on the kitchen end of the house. Looking at all the options Sears has made me start to wonder just what I really WOULD do if I could. Part of me would love to make a more “grown-up” section and a more “kid-friendly” section. Our backyard is certainly big enough to support that.

It’s true that my kids are starting to age out of the swing set phase of life just a little, but my youngest is still 8 and still loves these. And let’s be perfectly honest – my 13yo still loves these too. It would be so fun to outfit our backyard with one of these play structures for them and their friends.

I also discovered this awesome grill that I would love to get. We currently have a little charcoal Weber which does the job on a very small scale. Wouldn’t THIS be awesome?

Of course, since this is my dream post, I’m also dreaming up some 70-something weather in August in Oklahoma City. Because even with a dream backyard, I’m not sure anyone wants to eat outside right now. It’s been 111 degrees lately. (Ugg!)
