And I DON’T want them back, so if you find them, just throw them away, okay? (Or you could join me in my quest to lose 40 by 40 – your choice.)
I don’t know if any of you have been following along for long or not, but I started the Shaklee Cinch® Inch Loss Plan on June 19. I started my own “OH MY WORD, I’M THE BIGGEST I’VE EVER BEEN WITHOUT BEING PREGNANT” plan two weeks before that. I lost 3 pounds before beginning the #Cinchspiration program and 13 in the nine weeks since, for a total of 16 pounds since the beginning of June. Here’s a little snapshot of my inch loss chart since I began. To date, I’m down 20.25 inches.
I’m excited to tell you that a few of you decided to join me in this journey because I won a prize for referring some of you. THANKS for using my link and please let me know how I can encourage you in this process! It’s so so so much better with a community of people to support you along the way. So, you wanna see my prize? Take a look:
Now I can work on my 5K training in the fall in STYLE. It will be the only time during the week that I actually have some (style). Those are the pieces I chose from Athleta with the gift card I received for referring YOU to the Shaklee Cinch® Inch Loss Plan – so THANKS!
Speaking of my 5K practice, I’m still set to do this on September 30. My daughter has transitioned from training with me to training for Cross Country practice with her classmates, but she’s still planning to do the 5K with me in September. We’re totally going to rock it. From the back. More on that later. But since I’m driving her to a park for Cross Country practice a couple of times a week anyway, I decided to make those a couple of my 5K training times. Here’s a little video that shows you just HOW red my face gets after one of these, ahem, adventures.
Wasn’t that just completely awesome? *giggle* Here’s a little disclaimer on that – someone (who shall remain nameless at this time) dropped our Flip camera on the kitchen floor quite a while ago and shattered the screen. What you see above is really my first attempt to do one of these pseudo-vlogs from my phone. I learned one major thing: I need to hold the camera a little higher so I don’t highlight my nostrils quite so much. Lesson learned.
In other news, our school year has officially started. While I will be homeschooling my kids 3 days/week, I have two days/week on my own again. I’m looking forward to seeing how some stability to our schedule enhances my faithfulness to my weight loss goals here. So far today, I’ve had a Cinch bar and completed Day 8, Week 1 of Couch-to-5K. It’s almost time for a shake!
Now for a very special giveaway – I’m giving away a FREE 2-week Shaklee Cinch Starter Kit (valued at $228) over here! It ends on September 6, so scoot over and enter!
I am being given the products and support to complete this program for 6 months for free in exchange for my honest evaluation. All thoughts are and will continue to remain my own. I keep a proper disclosure statement available here.

16lbs is amazing! So, I turn bright red too! It’s not pretty but fortunately goes away pretty quickly! Congratulations on your determination to run a 5k. I started running almost 3 years ago…it has been an amazing journey. Even though I don’t get faster, I can go further than I ever thought. I can’t wait to read the updates of your training and races. Good Luck!
Glad to hear you’ve kept going after 3 years! I never thought I’d get to the point where I want to do this again the next day, yet here I am. Slow, but steady.
