Lean Cuisine Asian Flavor 6-Packs from Sam’s Club

So what did YOU have for lunch today? I’m not always the best about making good choices at lunchtime (Mac and Cheese, anyone?). Ahem (I love that commercial…moving on now). I’m trying to do better for myself and for my family. My family isn’t always that interested in me doing better by them, but I try, you know? And then sometimes I just give them what they want. Anyway. The other day I went shopping at Sam’s Club and found The Asian Lean Cuisine 6-Pack in the area with my other #FrozenFavorites.

This six-pack is currently going for $11.25 at Sam’s Club. When I went shopping they offered a $2 instant coupon, so I got them for $9.25 which boiled down to $1.54 each. That’s a pretty decent value for a pretty decent meal option! My parents were visiting with me this week, so it was super nice to have these on hand for a healthy lunch option for them too! I had to pick up a few other things while I was in Sam’s. Here’s a peek:

You can see my day, including my shopping experience at Sam’s via this Google + photo album here. It was a busy day filled with me having to take lunches to school for my kids and also accompanying my parents on a four-hour visit the the Oklahoma Neuromuscular Clinic for my mom’s Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Even though not all of my kids were planning to eat these Asian Lean Cuisine meals with me and my parents today, I like to incorporate my kids in adding a healthy option to what they ARE eating. My 8yo just loves to make fruit salads. Here she is prepping the grapes for us. This is her favorite job!

Because I had a house-full today for lunch (8 of us all together!), I opted to prepare our entire 6-pack as well as pull out some sandwich fixings so the crew each could decide what they wanted.

The predominate directions on the box were for use in a microwave. We don’t have a microwave, so the oven it is for me! I was glad to find the conventional oven directions – it took a little hunting, but I did find them. I think when you are doing 6 at one time and you want them done at about the same time, the oven is a better option than the microwave anyway!

These all looked so super yummy I actually had a taste of each one and they WERE all super yummy. I must say, though, that the Sesame Chicken was the hands down favorite of all who tried these today! Also, I have a severe reaction to broccoli, so I’m unable to eat it at all. Knowing how full of broccoli the Ginger Garlic Stir Fry is would deter me from choosing that one in the future. I think it would be awesome to be able to pick up a 6-pack from Sam’s all of one kind. We’d for sure choose the Sesame Chicken and would probably get it a lot!

Way to go, Lean Cuisine, for coming up with some yummy healthy lunch options for busy moms! I’ll be keeping my eyes open for these at the store again!

Be sure to check out Lean Cuisine via their website, on Facebook, Twitter, and at Sam’s Club.
