A couple of months ago I found the awesomeness that is Rain for Roots and at that time was asked to do a giveaway of their new album via download. I’m excited today to be able to offer one of you an actual physical copy of the Rain for Roots CD. Yay!

As a quick reminder, these songs are a combo effort of Sandra McCracken, Ellie Holcomb, Flo Paris, Katy Bowser, and Sally Lloyd Jones of The Jesus Storybook Bible.

My initial review of this album was that it is both artistically beautiful and theologically sound and I’m happy to say two months later that I still hold to that assessment. I love this! This past Wednesday I was called in to pinch-hit for the PreK teacher at our north campus. I quickly made sure this album was on my phone and snagged the portable speakers so I could play my phone through them in the class. BEST. DECISION. EVER. This class is reading through The Jesus Storybook Bible and they were making creation murals. I put the very first song, God Made Everything, on repeat play while the kids were making their murals and it was so great. Such a perfect tie-in to what they were doing!

Here’s the only version of God Made Everything I can find on YouTube at the moment:

Here’s the official buzz about the whole project again:

Rain For Roots is a collective of songwriters, young mothers and friends who came together around a single vision to make new scripture songs for children. Inspired by traditional folk melodies, this band of four set out to make new, timeless songs about the old gospel Story.

This album, “Big Stories for Little Ones” is based on the poems of best-selling children’s author, Sally Lloyd-Jones.

The entire album consists of ten songs. You can download God Makes Everything right here for free:

CDs are selling for $12.99 and digital downloads are $8.99.  Go here to place your order. Perfect gift idea!

But…I’m here to give one copy away right now! Entry is through the Rafflecopter form below.

Be sure to check out my other current giveaways right here!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

I was offered a free download code in exchange for my honest thoughts. True story: I didn’t need the free code because I ALREADY BOUGHT THIS ALL BY MYSELF. I’m hosting an additional giveaway of this album on behalf of Rain for Roots because I believe in what they are doing and love it. All thoughts are and will continue to remain my own. I keep a proper disclosure statement available here.

Oh my. I already added this to my youngest’s Amazon wishlist, so I would love to save it for him for Christmas.
