We had ourselves a little Family Game Night tonight that included an easy dinner by way of these Tyson Chicken Nuggets, Ore Ida French Fries, and Heinz Ketchup. It also included a pretty epic game of Monopoly that lasted 3 hours and included my 8yo and I sweeping the game by completely bankrupting my other three daughters. Because nothing says love quite like smoking your own kids in Monopoly, no? In honor of the Labor Day weekend, we opted for a super easy, “We desperately just need to stay home and relax” kind of night. We got exactly that.

I knew we’d be needing a family night tonight, so I prepared by getting some easy stuff on Thursday and stashing it in the freezer. It’s pretty convenient to get all three of these things at the same time right now because the Hasbro DipToPlay.com site unlocks some pretty fun online games when you enter UPC numbers from all three items. I also felt like our Monopoly game could use an upgrade because we’ve lost a few pieces over the years, including the BOX! It was awesome that the game had an instant $4 off coupon attached right to it!

Here’s my whole experience with the #DipDipHooray products from Walmart to the oven to the table right here in this Google + album!

When I entered the UPC codes from those three items, the site unlocked a pretty fun version of Connect 4. It wasn’t at all like I was expecting it to be and it was actually kind of challenging!

Be sure to check that site out because you can enter to win a $1,000 Hasbro Game Night Gift Pack! See the official sweepstakes rules right here.

After playing around with the virtual Connect 4, I went back in to finish setting everything out for dinner. My crew was more than happy to come down when called tonight!

This is what I call #DipDipHooray!

And this is what I call Family Game Night! Don’t let those sweet smiles fool you – there was enough stiff competition to go around, but we managed to somehow make it through THREE HOURS OF MONOPOLY. Yes, I am Mom of the Year. </sarcasm>

You can still see light through the windows in this photo, but it was way past bedtime by the time we were done. And nobody really put up a fight about that tonight. Maybe 3 hours of Monopoly is a great bedtime strategy after all?

Overall, it was a fun evening. Yummy food, fun game, and easy bedtime = Major Win around here!

Looks like you had a great time…we love family game night and the competition in the air can get kinda thick with 3 boys playing against each other!! Sigh… :)

Totally understand! We definitely had multiple moments of, “This game is going to sooo be over if you don’t __________” last night. But that didn’t make for a very good blog post picture. *grin*

You’re my kind of mom! When my kids are old enough, I plan to (try to) win and WILL gloat when I do! Makes up for years of “losing” at Candyland. hehe
