Super Fun Creativity for Kids Crafting Birthday Party

I’m still a little bit in denial that it’s already September. Really? I better move fast here because it might be October before I hit “publish” on this post… We officially started school again on August 23. C12′s birthday is August 28. All of our fall weekends have something planned right now, so we scheduled her birthday party for Friday, August 24, on the second day of school. It was a little goofy. Okay, it was a LOT goofy, but it was fun.

Originally she was going to have a slumber party, but we found out later that her first cross country meet was early the next morning, so we switched the party from a Friday at 5pm to Saturday at 10am party to a Friday from 1-9. What this practically meant was that I had a lot more planning to do because there would be absolutely no sleeping going on. Swimming pool to the rescue!

The girls have C12 birthday splashes instead of spankings. Pretty funny. But it was overcast that day and the pool got chilly quickly. They came inside and we began our afternoon of #CreativityForKids epic crafting! I had already set up our back room with a bunch of craft supplies we received from Creativity For Kids:

The first thing the girls did was make themselves a hip Stuck On Fashion Tote Bag to hold all of their other goodies.

From there the girls make some really fantastic bracelets.

Then it was time for some Pop Art Necklace creations and Mosaic Heart Box action!

And let’s not forget the fabulous headbands!

In addition to all the super great crafting stuff you see above, we were also sent a stash of super great coloring books. Even my oldest girls enjoy these and I’ll be honest – I’ve colored a page or two myself! We popped those in each of the girls’ bags so they could do that activity at home.

We were also sent some of the Do-It-Yourself Pop-Up Books  and another kit full of cards and glitter and other crafty awesomeness. In fact, even after all the girls made all of their crafts (and did I mention there were 10 girls here altogether?) my youngest daughter has continued to enjoy all the leftovers for the past ten days. She’s in crafting paradise!

I have so many great photos from this event I popped them in a Google + photo album so you could see them all!

Disclosure: We received all of the Creativity for Kids crafting awesomeness you see above as a participant of Mom Select Media. No other compensation was received. We really did think it was all completely awesome and made for a GREAT birthday party! All thoughts expressed within are my own. I keep a proper disclosure statement available here.
